[NOTE: I originally posted this on the Microsoft Expression Web Forum. It is just as appropriate here. ;-)] This thread is about 10 days old, but I came across it again while looking for something else. In the interim between when it was initially active and now, I had heard so much about Cheryl's Basic Website tutorial that I took the opportunity to watch it. I must say, for new users to EW, and especially for those new to CSS and code view, this tutorial is a godsend. She takes you from a literal blank screen to a completed, functional page, including creating a DWT from the result, touching most of the bases along the way. I found it quite effective (and a bit amusing ;-) that it also comprises kind of a stealth introduction to CSS in the process. Those who have no clue about CSS going in will find that they have obtained a much better grasp of what it is and how it works when they have finished, all without overtly pushing the tutorial as a CSS tutorial. Nice job, Cheryl! I recommend that those new to Expression Web, and especially those who are also new to and intimidated by CSS, download and watch the entire video straight through. Be sure when you get to her tutorials page that you get the full version accessible from the link labeled, " View or download the full tutorial in Windows Media Format" If you download it instead of streaming it from her site, you will save her bandwidth (it's BIG) and also have it available on demand on your local machine, so you can conveniently drag the progress thumb to find specific sections showing how to do a process you're interested in without having to wait for the stream to buffer as you would online. cheers, scott
